Sessions 1 & 2 - Cardboard creation

The first two sessions this year will be all about exploring creativity and engineering. Do you love making things that look cool? Do you love making things that are beautiful? Do you love making things that are fun? If so, then join us to explore the world of making with cardboard construction tools!

We have sets of MakeDo cardboard construction tools and will be building everything from shields to Mars bases! Let your imagination run wild!

We will provide cardboard, but if you want to bring along any old cereal boxes or if you have some old packing boxes in your shed, please bring them!

Common Questions

Does we need to be a member to attend events?

No, you don't. At GTCASA, we welcome all children and families to our sessions.

Does my child have to assessed as 'gifted' to attend events?

No, they don't. At GTCASA, if you feel as though the giftedness profile fits your child they are welcome to attend our events and activities. Our programs and resources are tailored for gifted children, and it’s a great opportunity to learn more about giftedness and explore this possibility for your child and family.

What if my child needs some support to settle into a class?

We understand that transitioning into new environments can sometimes be challenging, especially for gifted children who may have unique needs. You are welcome to support your child in any way you need, please reach out to our volunteers if we can assist you in any way.

Can I bring my child's sensory equipment?

Absolutely! We want all children to feel comfortable and accommodated at our events. Whether your child requires ear protectors, comfort toys or fidget tools, you are more than welcome to bring it along. Our priority is to create a safe and inclusive space where every child can participate fully and enjoy the experience to the fullest. Please let us know if we can assist in any way.
